Body HairEdit

Body hair is all hair that is not on the head.

The body has different types of hair, including vellus hair and androgenic hair, each with its own type of cellular construction. The different construction gives the hair unique characteristics, serving specific purposes, mainly warmth and protection.

Some prefer a smooth look, while others prefer more hair, and still others appreciate neatly trimmed body hair.

Unlike with head hair, body hair may be removed with some aggressive methods, such as waxing, the application of hair removal cream, or electrolysis. These methods of hair removal have a longer-lasting effect than mere cutting, although the skin damage and potential permenant reduction in hair follicle density that they amy cause results their being inappropriate for head hair removal in most cases.
